May 10, 2017 – Toronto, ON – I'll be discussing The Science of Shakespeare at the Beaches branch of the Toronto Public Library. 7 p.m.

June 15, 2017 – Vaughan, ON – I'll be discussing artificial intelligence at the Schwartz/Reisman Centre, 9600 Bathurst St. 7 p.m. (Admission: $15.00)

Mar. 7, 2018 – Toronto, ON – I'll be moderating a panel discussion on the search for extraterrestrial life at an Astronomy and Space Exploration Society event at the University of Toronto. 7 p.m.

Mar. 22, 2018 – Toronto, ON – I'll be discussing the allure of solar eclipses at Nerd Nite, held at the Tranzac club, 292 Brunswick Ave. The event begins at 7:30. (Admission $5 at the door.)

Oct. 10, 2018 – Toronto, ON – I'll be giving an illustrated talk titled "In the Footsteps of Nicolaus Copernicus," based on my recent visit to Poland. It's hosted by the Toronto Centre of the RASC, and will be held at the Ontario Science Centre. 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Oct. 17, 2018 – Pasadena, CA – I'll be discussing "The Science of Shakespeare" at Caltech, in Pasadena, California. The event will take place in Baxter Hall at 7 p.m.

Nov. 7, 2018 – Sydney, Australia – I'll be discussing "The Science of Shakespeare" at the University of New South Wales. The event is at 6:30 p.m. in the John B. Reid Theatre.

Jan. 11, 2019 – Hamilton, ON – I'll be discussing "The Science of Shakespeare" at a meeting of the Hamilton Amateur Astronomers. The event is at 7:30 in the Hamilton Spectator building, 44 Frid St.

Apr. 3, 2019 – Toronto, ON – I'll be moderating the panel discussion, "Cybersecurity in the Age of Espionage," at the Toronto Reference Library.  The event is at 7:00 p.m.; click on the link for ticket information (it's free, but booking is recommended).

Apr. 16, 2019 – Toronto, ON – I'll be on stage with Jeffrey Rosenthal for a discussion about his new book, "Knock on Wood," at the Brentwood branch of the Toronto Public Library.  7:00-8:00 p.m.  Free.

May 14, 2019 – The paperback edition of my most recent book, The Science of Shakespeare, is released in Canada by Goose Lane.

Sept. 12, 2019 – Toronto, ON – I'll be discussing The Science of Shakespeare at a meeting of the North York Astronomical Association.  7:00 p.m. in St. Bonaventure Church, 1300 Leslie St.

Sept. 14, 2019 – Halifax, NS – I'll be discussing The Science of Shakespeare at Word on the Street at the Central Library in Halifax. 12:00 noon in Paul O'Regan Hall.

Dec. 3, 2019 – Toronto, ON – The Royal Canadian Institute if Science is hosting an event at 7:30 p.m. in the George Ignatieff Theatre at the University of Toronto, in which I'll be receiving the Fleming Medal for Excellence in Science Communication, and discussing my career as a science journalist.

Jan. 16, 2020 – Toronto, ON – I'll be discussing time travel at Nerd Nite. 7:30 p.m. at the Tranzac club.

Jan. 24, 2020 – Mississauga, ON – I'll be discussing time travel at RASC Mississauga Centre. 8 p.m. at U of T's Mississauga campus. 

May 1, 2020 – I'll be moderating an MIT Faculty Forum event featuring astronomer Shep Doeleman, director of the Event Horizon Telescope, at 3 p.m. EDT. 

Dec. 19, 2020 – I'll be on Quirks & Quarks on CBC Radio One, discussing the best science books of 2020
